In early 2023, Pocketnest partner MSU Federal Credit Union launched AlumniFi, a digital credit union with an accompanying website and mobile app targeting the university's alumni and their unique needs.


MSUFCU President/CEO April Clobes shares how they developed AlumniFi through a collaboration between the credit union and its fintech partners, and predicts it will transform how people think about personal finance—and not to mention how credit unions approach digital banking and member experience.

AlumniFi offers a checking account with no overdraft fees and a branded debit card that offers spending insights on a digital account dashboard, and a no-fee savings account with digital savings folders and ways to give back to charitable causes.
To offer these features . . .AlumniFi has partnered with fintechs such as Pocketnest.
Pocketnest leverages AI to coach alumni on a comprehensive financial plan with personalized tips and recommendations, all based on a certified financial planning curricula.

Built on behavioral science and psychology, Pocketnest coaches users through 10 themes of financial wellness, from setting a budget to planning for the future with investments, savings, and debt elimination planning. Using AlumniFi and Pocketnest, recent graduates can tackle their financial plans—possibly for the first time in their lives—in just three minutes a week.
