Pocketnest leads “She’s Next” panel alongside VISA, hosted by MSUFCU

Pocketnest is on a mission to make financial wellness accessible, actionable, and empowering for all. That mission took center stage at the recent ‘She’s Next’ Event, powered by Visa in partnership with Michigan State University Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU). Alongside Bon Bon Bon, Kiloh + Co., Nubian, and VISA, Pocketnest founder and CEO, Jessica Willis, co-led the event designed to inspire and equip women entrepreneurs and business leaders with practical tools for financial confidence and growth.

‘She’s Next’: A Platform for Women’s Empowerment

The ‘She’s Next’ initiative, championed by Visa and supported by MSUFCU, brings together women business owners, community leaders, and financial experts for a day of learning, networking, and inspiration. The event is dedicated to helping women entrepreneurs break barriers, build connections, and access the resources they need to succeed in today’s competitive landscape.

Empowering the Leaders of Tomorrow

True empowerment isn’t just about uplifting today’s leaders—it’s about preparing tomorrow’s changemakers, too. That’s why Pocketnest is focused on engaging the next generation. Pocketnests believes financial wellness should be accessible to all, particularly millennials and Gen Z, many of whom are buried in student loan debt and have little cash socked away in savings. Using fintech like Pocketnest helps financial institutions reach and engage these elusive, digitally-centered generations.

Leading the Charge for Financial Wellness

During her co-leadership of the event, Willis shared actionable insights that empowered attendees with actionable insights on financial wellness, business planning, and the power of leveraging technology for long-term success. Drawing on her experience building Pocketnest—a woman-founded fintech recognized for its AI-powered, hyper-personalized financial guidance—Willis shared strategies to help women take control of their financial futures, both personally and professionally.

  • The importance of financial literacy as a foundation for business growth

  • How to use behavioral science and digital tools to make informed decisions

  • Real-world tactics for building financial confidence and independence

Budgeting Reimagined by Pocketnest

Access to the right financial tools is a critical part of building confidence and independence—especially for women navigating entrepreneurship, leadership, and life’s many financial demands. That’s why Pocketnest is focused on creating inclusive, approachable tools that meet people where they are.

Pocketnest’s recently launched budget reflects that mission, reimagining what budgeting can look like when it's grounded in behavioral science, backed by technology, and built with the user in mind. It empowers users to take control of their finances in just three minutes a week—no spreadsheets required.

Pocketnest’s intuitive “buckets” approach guides users through spending, saving, debt, and investment strategies, offering personalized insights based on their goals and financial situation.

By removing complexity and barriers, we’re helping people—regardless of background—build better habits and make progress toward their goals, one intentional decision at a time.

Looking Ahead

Pocketnest remains dedicated to driving innovation in financial wellness, partnering with organizations that share our vision for a more inclusive, financially confident future. We’re grateful to everyone who joined us at ‘She’s Next’ and look forward to continuing this important work, one empowered woman at a time.
