Pocketnest product lead Erwin Kim shares dev process and insights at U of M’s Ross School of Business

Pocketnest’s product lead, Erwin Kim, takes center stage at the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business event, the Business+Tech Forum, to help bridge the gap between business and technology for students, aspiring professionals, and industry leaders.
A Crash Course in the Future of Fintech
Kim led the Business+Tech Forum’s Product Development Process & Interview Prep workshop. Drawing on his diverse product management experience, Kim’s interactive session shared real-world career experiences and expectations, interview scenarios, and more, showing participants how to:
Analyze products and identify areas for improvement
Develop customer-focused solutions
Create wireframes and design concepts
Apply practical frameworks tailored for non-technical product roles
This hands-on approach gave attendees a tangible toolkit for building core skills to drive innovation in financial technology, and not to mention, ace the interview process.
Building Bridges Between Business and Technology
Kim’s session perfectly embodied the mission of the +Tech Forum: to highlight meaningful, lucrative career paths in tech and provide practical ways to learn the latest tools and best practices. By guiding students through the product development process and demystifying interview prep, Erwin helped make the world of fintech more accessible and inclusive for all backgrounds.
