Pocketnest is exploding in capital, team, client, and user growth
Pocketnest, the female-founded financial wellness platform, recently announced its latest $2.6M capital raise from a round led by Reseda Group, marking nearly $5M raised to date. As you can imagine, we've funneled those funds into product development and sales and marketing initiatives, including hiring our very first Pocketnest sales team.
What growth, you ask? Since December of 2021, our growth includes:
250 percent growth in new users
100 percent growth in annual recurring revenue
84 percent growth in new clients, with 39 total clients, including Community Financial Credit Union, MSU Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU), Service Credit Union, Community Financial Credit Union, The Accel Group, TDC Investment Advisory, The Henry Ford, Altruist, Autobooks, and more.
120 percent growth in development team headcount, reaching 22 total employees, with plans to expand the marketing team in 2023

How'd we know it was time to build and hire a sales team? Well, we think the growth stats speak for themselves! We've experienced such incredible growth this past year that our CEO and founder—and interim director of sales—Jessica Willis has seen her plate get fuller and fuller. And, we realized that, to continue our growth, we simply had to build a sales team to help us scale.
Introducing Pocketnest's first-ever sales team
After sorting through 300+ applicants and countless interviews, Jin Kim and Dan Lopes quickly rose to the tippy-top of the heap. We're proud to say they were both tied for our first picks. And with their incredible background of tech sales experience and proven track record of building sales teams and scaling businesses' sales performance, we're confident they will demolish our sales quotas and grow our revenue and client roster beyond our wildest imaginations.
A chicken-raising, doting family man with empathy and kindness as his north star(s), Jin Kim joins our team as our Business Development Director. Jin has 15+ years of experience in tech sales and has crushed every sales goal in his path while growing and leading a successful team. An LA native, Jin has traveled the country and now calls Northern Colorado home with his wonderful wife of 16+ years, sweet 9 y/o daughter, 2 dogs, 2 cats, 2 guinea pigs, and 4 chickens. When he's not hustling and closing deals, you'll probably find him traveling the country or visiting Mickey and Minnie Mouse with his family.
A theologian and baseball fanatic at his core, Dan joins Pocketnest as our Business Development Director. He's earned his chops across multiple sectors, ranging from tech sales to sports industry management, and has proven his impeccable resume while managing a team of 10+ people. When he's not hustling and closing deals, you'll probably be able to find him nerding out on his sports blog with his bestie (our words, not his!) or catch him at any given MLB park with his wife and 3.5-year old son, or restoring his '68 Mustang.
