Former ABN AMRO, Barclays and HSBC exec brings 24+ years of global banking experience to Pocketnest
Nabeel Batlay joins Pocketnest as an advisor and hails from 24+ years of global leadership experience establishing, scaling, and tech-proofing retail, commercial, and investment management franchises.
In fact, he's lived and worked in EIGHT countries and contributed toward the evolution of banking across FOUR continents—North America, Africa, Europe, and Asia—for THREE multi-national banks—ABN AMRO, Barclays, and HSBC—and fintechs.
At HSBC Canada, Nabeel led the investment management business through a 33% AUM and 44% revenue growth and served as CMO and board director of HSBC Investment. And, most notably, he challenged the tech status quo; he pioneered HSBC's first-ever ETF-powered robo-advice platform and led the first-global third-party migration for an investment dealer platform.
Most recently, Nabeel's attention has been on fintech—Flybits, specifically—a digital experience platform in collaboration with TD, Mastercard, and Global Enterprise banks. As chief strategy officer, he's led the product value proposition, GTM, and scaling efforts.
With such diverse and deep global banking experience, Nabeel brings Pocketnest an incredible background in developing, scaling, and selling fintech and will contribute to our product development, sales, marketing, and scaling efforts.
